Man robs synagogue
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for a man caught on camera committing an unholy act at a South Florida synagogue.
One man broke into and ransacked the Temple Beth Israel synagogue on Jan. 25, at around 3 a.m. He broke in through a window, according to Kenneth Barnett of Temple Beth Israel. "He took some liquor bottles, he took plates and took silverware," he said.
Barnett said the security system was off at the time of the break-in, and the burglar even stuck around inside for about two hours. "We had a concert that day in honor of our recently deceased cantor, and people just weren't concentrating," Barnett said. "A lot of the doors were left open that nobody locked."
If you have any information on this burglary, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
