MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- The parents of a teen who was killed as a result of a shooting over the weekend are urging anyone with information about the crime to come forward.

Lakesha and Leroy Frazer, the parents of Ladarius Frazer, spoke from the City of Miami Gardens Police Department, Tuesday. The victim's mother expressed confidence that someone knows the identity of her son's killer. "I know, whoever you are, that you're probably watching us right now pleading and begging for someone to come forth," she said. "I just pray that you somehow turn yourself in, so you can stop this stabbing that I'm feeling in my heart."

The shooting occurred at Miami Carol City Park, located at 32nd Avenue and Northwest 185th Street, Saturday night.

According to authorities, the 17-year-old victim was shot after an argument broke out over a dice game at the park. The victim died at the scene.

Robert Rubio, who heard the gunshots, described the scene at the park leading up to the shooting. "Some kids there were playing dice for money. They were gambling, and some sore loser didn't want to lose," he said.

Captain Ralph Suarez of the Miami Gardens Police Department said, "It was some type of fight, or some type of dispute, where the offender pulled out a gun and shot the victim."

Police said they have few leads about the shooter, who remains on the loose.

If you have any information on this shooting or the whereabouts of the shooter, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
