Mother on sex attack at school

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A parent is speaking out about the pain her young daughter and family have endured since an alleged sexual attack on her daughter at a South Florida elementary school.
The mother said her child will be traumatized for life from the sexual assault inside a Norland Elementary School bathroom. "And she was crying. He still would not let her go. He still made her perform the act. What kind of monster is that? We're talking about kids here."
According to her mother, her 11-year-old daughter, who has a form of autism, was forced to perform oral sex on a boy, as two other boys guarded the door outside. "He went inside, and he locked the door while the other two were outside waiting," said the mother, "so when she finally broke loose to run outside, they were pushing her back inside the bathroom."
The mother, who wanted to remain anonymous, said she is speaking out in order to prevent anything like this from happening again. "Look into these schools, look into the security they have there. There should have been more security there, at that school, when this happened," she said
The ages of the suspects, according to the mother, range between 11 and 12 years old. On top of that, according to the victim, this all occurred at around 11 in the morning, in the middle of the school day. "This is a case that not only affects my client, her family," said attorney Ariel Saban, who represents the family, "but it affects the entire community because this is something that should not occur on school grounds to this child or to any child, and we're trying to make sure that everything is done to correct this and prevent this from occurring to other children."
Miami-Dade Schools Police said they are taking this case very seriously. They are conducting interviews with everyone who needs to be questioned in this case. In the next couple of days, the schools police will announce whether or not there will be charges filed.
