Services held at First Haitian Baptist Church after fire

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Worship services were held at a South Florida church destroyed by fire.

First Haitian Baptist Church, located on North Miami Avenue and 153 Street, held worship services Sunday after a fire destroyed the sanctuary and two offices Monday.

Members of the 700-member congregation such as Reginald Latortue showed up to glorify God despite the burnt ruins of the church. "Our congregation showed up this morning, praise God," he said. "We're here."

Firefighters say the fire began after a 7-year-old boy threw a lit match in a room used for storing choir robes.
