NORTH BAY VILLAGE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for two thieves who burglarized a home but were caught on camera.
According to surveillance video, just after 11 a.m. Monday, two people, a male and a female, broke into a home taking off with thousands of dollars worth of personal items in just nine minutes.
At one point during their heist, the female burglar is seen on the video getting startled for some reason and making the sign of the cross, as she's seconds away from sinning.
The thieves were able to get away, but cameras captured their getaway vehicle. "A gold Honda Accord or more likely a gold Nissan Sentra or Nissan Maxima," said Lieutenant James McCready of North Bay Village Police.
The homeowner said he believes the thieves will eventually get their due. "They'll find out that crime does not pay and that karma is real and that payback is a b----," said homeowner Alex Funkhouser.
