Boy, 10, remains in intensive care after being bitten by 2 dogs

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- A 10-year-old South Florida boy who was attacked by two Rottweilers remains in intensive care.

Christian Franco underwent about seven hours of surgery yesterday.

He had a grapefruit-size gouge on the back of his scalp, gashes on his forehead and right thigh, a puncture wound on his right cheek, numerous bites on his hip and back and a left eye swollen shut.

He's remaining in intensive care at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale while he's watched closely for internal bleeding and infections.
