SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for an unknown number of suspects who stole a Boy Scout camping trailer from a South Florida church parking lot.
Officials said, Thursday night the Boy Scoutmasters discovered the trailer missing from the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Kendall. The trailer contained more than $20,000 worth of items.
Troop 599 is wondering why someone would commit such a horrible crime. "We had a hard time through the night just trying to cope with it and understand how someone could possibly drive into a church parking lot and steal a boy scout trailer," said Ray Lio.
The Boy Scouts are pleading to the public to help them find their camping trailer. "We are pleading to the community," said Lio. "If they've seen our trailer, even whether it's empty, at least we get the trailer back. That has a lot of sentimental value."
If you have any information on this robbery, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
