Man injured after falling overboard

HAULOVER BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida boater is recovering from minor injuries after he fell overboard Friday morning.

At around 7:02 a.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded near Haulover Park Marina to calls of an injured boater. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the man was on board his vessel, either fishing or casting a net, when, at some point, he fell overboard. Investigators believe the man's legs were cut by the boat's propeller.

Rescue crews transported the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Officials said his injuries are not life-threatening.

FWC is investigating the incident.
