
North Florida mother charged with DUI in son's death
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say the mother a Middleburg teenager killed in a traffic crash has been arrested on DUI manslaughter charges.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Angela Harper had two adults and five teenagers in her car when she lost control of her vehicle in Jacksonville.
Five of Harper's seven passengers were ejected, including 13-year-old Jesse Harper. He died at the scene.
Authorities estimate Harper was driving at 100 miles per hour and had a blood-alcohol content of point-11 when the crash happened.
