Man finally turns himself in

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A man has turned himself in for a crime he committed 10 years ago.

Yakoub Levy, 29, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact, Wednesday.

Levy admitted he helped ditch his 15-year-old friend's body after a fatal shooting in Feb. 2000. The shooting occurred after four teens played with a loaded handgun.

Within weeks of the crime, two of the teens turned themselves into police.

Levy was sentenced to one year and one day in prison.

According to police, the shooting appeared to be an accident.
