
Police searching for their missing K-9 dog
HOMESTEAD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding their missing K-9.
Homestead Police said 3-year-old Caine went missing Sunday in the early morning hours in the area of Southwest 282 Street and Southwest 162 Avenue. "We did an extensive search yesterday, and we are continuing our search today in the neighborhood, in the area," said Captain Ed Bowe of the Homestead Police Department.
Caine is a dark black male German Shepherd with brown eyes, weighing 79 pounds and has two dark distinctive markings in each ear similar to birthmarks.
Police are asking anyone who has seen the police dog or has the K-9 to call the Homestead Police Department immediately at 305-247-1535 or 786-298-0119. "We are asking anybody that has seen the dog or perhaps somebody found him and is looking at him as a perfect pet, and may have taken it in, and we are hoping that is the case. They now know it is a police K-9, and it needs to be returned to us Just give us a call."
