
Police searching for armed attempted robbery suspect
MIAMI SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for an armed man who attempted to rob two employees at a South Florida gas station.
Police are investigating the scene at the Shell gas station located at 2501 NW 42 Avenue. Police said around 8 this Friday morning, the suspect armed with a revolver approached two employees, who happen to be mother and son, and demanded money. A struggle ensued between the suspect and victims and the suspect fired, but the bullet did not hit anyone. The mother and son were pistol-whipped by the suspect, who then fled the scene.
The victims received minor injuries from the struggle and paramedics treated them on the scene.
Robbery detectives are reviewing the gas station's surveillance video in hopes getting a description of the suspect.
