Dead fish blamed for stench in South Florida neighborhood

PLANTATION, Fla. (WSVN) -- Residents at a South Florida apartment complex are complaining about the stench coming from a neighborhood lake.

Fish have been turning up dead in a lake near the Lakes of Jacaranda apartment complex, at Cleary Boulevard and Northwest 108th Avenue.

The dead fish have been sitting in the lake for over a week and the community is demanding something be done.

A similar situation occurred in Lauderhill last week. Fish turned up dead after heavy rain cut off their oxygen supply.

The fish have since been removed.
