Motorcyclist slams into truck during morning commute
TAMARAC, Fla. (WSVN) -- A man is recovering at the hospital after he was involved in an accident on a major South Florida highway.
Broward Sheriff's Office and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to the southbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike Wednesday morning, after an accident involving a semi-truck and a motorcyclist occurred. Police said the man slammed into the back of the truck near the Cypress Creek toll plaza.
The highway was shut down for 20 minutes as crews airlifted the man to Broward General Medical Center. His condition is unknown.
