Three firefighters injured while battling house fire
SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. (WSVN) -- Three firefighters are recovering from minor injuries after they battled an intense house fire Wednesday afternoon.
Fire rescue crews responded to the code 1 house fire located at 5521 SW 195 Terr. Officials said the fire started in the kitchen and tore through the rest of the home. No one was home at the time of the fire.
Two firefighters were transported to the hospital with heat related injuries and one with minor burns.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire. The Red Cross is providing the family with a place to stay.
