Crist celebrates birthday with Palm Beach party
PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- After taking a day off to recuperate from a 10-day overseas trade mission to Paris, Madrid, London and other European hotspots, Gov. Charlie Crist wakes up today another year older.
Crist plans to celebrate his 52nd birthday in Palm Beach at a bash at the famed Breakers Hotel, one of the state's most plush and expensive resorts.
It's been a busy summer for the governor, who was engaged in early July and has been running coast-to-coast to appear with Republican presidential nominee John McCain on his campaign. Crist has been mentioned in some quarters as a possible running mate.
