DEA finds over 200 marijuana plants at mall

WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Customers usually find hot deals at the mall but, authorities said, they instead found marijuana.
DEA agents uncovered more than 200 marijuana plants inside a storage room at the Mall of Americas.
Officials said whoever was in charge of this illegal operation had surveillance cameras on the pot and diverted power from the mall to the lamps and fans inside.
"There's a hole in the wall, that's the camera. They have a video monitoring screen up in the grove. So you have all of the lights, you have the fans and then you have a little TV, so they can sit and watch whoever might want to come near their grow house," said DEA spokeswoman Jeanette Moran.
No arrests have been made. Investigators are searching for those involved in the sophisticated operation.
