Police release sketch of suspect who shot police dispatcher

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have released a sketch of the man they believe shot a Broward Sheriff's Office dispatcher as she left a South Florida nightclub.

Vernice Morris, 23, reportedly got into an argument with the man late Monday night outside Cafe Iguana on Pines Boulevard and Southwest 83rd Avenue.

Officers said the suspect followed Morris as she drove into Miami Gardens and fired multiple shots at her vehicle, hitting her once. She crashed her car at Northwest 199th Street and 27th Avenue.

Paramedics airlifted Morris to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

If you have any information on this shooting, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
