FEMA mobile disaster center to open in Volusia Co.
DEBARY, Fla. (AP) -- Volusia County officials say the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be setting up a mobile disaster recovery center in the area this week.
According to a news release, the center should be in place by Friday or Saturday. Residents and business owners who were affected by flooding from Tropical Storm Fay can visit the center for assistance.
Fay caused flooding throughout central Florida's east coast. In the city of DeBary, officials ferried people by boat from homes, and some streets were under 4 feet of water because of the storm.
