Electrical problem sparks boat fire
KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities said an electrical problem sparked a boat fire Wednesday.
Six people on board the Sissy Baby charter boat escaped the fire without injury. Both Sea Tow and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue rushed to the scene to handle the situation. "I saw the vessel fully engulfed in flames, and there was a report from a Coast Guard jet that there were people on the water, and that was my first priority to try and save the people," said Sea Tow Captain Scott McClary.
Coincidentally, the Sissy Baby is operated by the same company as the Joe Cool. Four charter employees were murdered on the Joe Cool last year.
