Coast Guard rescues 4 after helicopter crash
NEAR MARATHON, Fla. (WSVN) -- Four people are recovering after their helicopter went down Sunday morning.
According to the United States Coast Guard, the helicopter was sighted in the water 17 miles Northeast of Marathon. The cause of the crash remains unknown, pending an investigation by the FAA.
The four people on board were found safe in the water. Officials transported the victims to Marathon Airport where they refused transport to any local hospital.
The conditions and identities of the passengers remain unknown.
