Authorities: Firefighter injured in home blaze
MIAMI (AP) -- Authorities say a firefighter was injured when a ceiling of a home ablaze collapsed on him.
A Miami Fire-Rescue spokesman says when firefighters arrived at the home on Monday, the fire had already fully engulfed it. The living room ceiling fell, knocking a firefighter to the ground.
Two other firefighters dragged him to safety, and he was taken to a hospital for X-rays and further evaluation. Authorities say his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Authorities say the fire has been contained, but the home is uninhabitable.
