MIAMI (WSVN) -- A South Florida family helped make their dream come true by building a new home thanks to a local organization.

The Israel family stood outside of their brand new house near Northwest 51st Street and 23rd Avenue in Miami, Saturday.

"It's like a dream that I'm going to wake up to reality and realize that now we have our own home," said Micah Israel.

Habitat for Humanity partnered with Chase Bank, Publix and Baptist Health to present 10 families with the keys to a new dream.

The Israel's will soon be moving into a home sponsored by Channel 7. "I think all the families are role models," said Exec. V.P. and General Manager WSVN-TV Robert Leider. "I've been involved with hundreds over the years and they change neighborhoods. They come into a neighborhood like this and they don't tolerate bad things going on."

"I think revitalizing communities is not only the right thing for those communities but it's also the right thing for the businesses," said George Acevedo of Chase Bank.

Roslyn Israel hammered in the nails and worked overtime to make this moment a reality for her husband and six kids. "My family and I we are so excited, everyone is pleased with what's going on," she said.

A team of volunteers and professionals also made it happen in just a couple of weeks. "From first, it was just a bunch of bricks and now it has gone to this, I am so excited and in two weeks," said Emmanuel Israel.

The new house means more room to live and play for the happy family with everyone getting their own space. "I know longer have to share two bedrooms with six people so of course giving thanks all to God and it's like being in heaven," said Micah Israel. "This is going to be my oldest son's room, that's the back bedroom. He'll have to be at the back of the house to protect for security."

The new homeowner already has his mind on decorating ideas as volunteers work on the finishing touches. "Converting the living room into a living area as well as an entertainment area," said Micah Israel. "We love to watch television and we love to watch Channel 7."
