Disney vacation scam artist surrenders
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A woman who allegedly victimized more than a dozen people through a Disney vacation ruse gave herself up to authorities Monday.
Miami-Dade detectives said Nancy Alvarez booked the supposed getaways, yet somehow managed to steal more than $20,000.
According to police, there are at least 15 victims.
Alvarez is charged with nine counts of grand theft, organized fraud and conducting business without a license.
