No charges against NYPD boss' son after rape claim

NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York City police commissioner's TV host son has been cleared of the prospect of criminal charges of raping a woman he met for a drink. But it's unclear how quickly Greg Kelly might return to his spot as a morning-show host.

The Manhattan district attorney's office said Tuesday the facts found during a two-week investigation don't fit the definitions of sexual assault crimes.

A person familiar with the investigation has said the woman told police late last month that Kelly raped her in her office after they met for drinks on Oct. 8. The person wasn't authorized to speak publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.

Kelly denies the allegations. He says he's looking forward to reappearing soon on "Good Day New York."
