BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Idaho Department of Agriculture officials say an Idaho goat herd is infected with Q fever, a disease that can cause stillbirths in livestock and is most often found in goats, sheep and cattle.

Officials tell KTVB-TV in a story that appeared Saturday that the herd has been quarantined.

Experts say the disease can be contagious to humans and is most often passed from animals to people through contact with birthing fluids or inhalation.

Symptoms can include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
