3 shot dead in Pa.; girl taken, found safe in Ohio
QUINCY, Pa. (AP) -- Police say a man in south-central Pennsylvania shot three people to death, then fled with his 4-year-old daughter before the pair was found about 250 miles away across the state line in Ohio.
An Amber Alert had been issued Friday night for the missing girl, Leia Cleeves. She and her father, Kevin, were found hours later in Austintown in northeastern Ohio, outside Youngstown.
Pennsylvania state police Trooper Adam Reed says the girl is safe and her father is in custody, suspected in the three deaths Friday night in Quincy Township.
Reed says the names and ages of the victims and their relationships to the suspect will be released later Saturday.
Court records Saturday did not list an attorney for Cleeves.
