Bail review postponed for accused Md. shooter

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A bail review hearing has been postponed for a teenager accused of shooting an intellectually disabled classmate at a suburban Maryland high school.

The hearing for 15-year-old Robert Wayne Gladden Jr. was postponed Wednesday because he is still at a state psychiatric hospital where he was sent for an evaluation. A new date for his bail review has not been set.

Gladden has been charged as an adult with attempted murder and first-degree assault and is being held without bail. Police say he used a shotgun to fire at random in the cafeteria of Perry Hall High School Monday morning. A 17-year-old classmate was shot in the back and critically injured.

Gladden's attorney says his client was a victim of bullying and did not intend to shoot anyone.
