MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- Her mother's in prison for welfare fraud. Her stepfather is lying low. Her six siblings are in state custody.

And 3-year-old Aliayah (Uh-LEE'-uh) Lunsford is still missing. She vanished from her West Virginia home a year ago Monday, and her great-aunt Vickie Bowen says it seems the world has forgotten her.

But Bowen and relatives still search regularly.

Lena Lunsford told police her daughter was in bed at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 24, 2011, but missing when she checked a few hours later.

FBI investigators say they don't believe an intruder took her, but they won't say what they believe did happen -- or whether they think Aliayah is alive.

Lewis County Sheriff's Deputy Lt. David Parks says it's still an active case, and police are doing all they can.
