COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- An Ohio man who confessed in an online video to causing a fatal wrong-way crash after a night of heavy drinking has entered a preliminary plea of not guilty.
Attorneys for the man, Matthew Cordle, say the plea is a procedural step allowing a judge to be appointed at random to accept a guilty plea.
The attorneys say Cordle still plans to plead guilty as soon as possible to accept responsibility for the June crash.
They say it is possible the guilty plea could happen Wednesday but would depend on how quickly a judge is assigned.
Franklin County Judge Julie Lynch has set a combined $255,000 bond.
