Senator Marco Rubio makes trip to Middle East

AMMAN, Jordan (WSVN) -- Senator Marco Rubio has embarked on a mission in the Middle East.

The freshman senator stopped in Jordan as part of an official trip to the region.

Rubio is a member of the senate's Select Committee on Intelligence and Foreign Relations, and met with leaders to discuss both economic and security issues in the region.

Senator Rubio will visit Israel later this week.
