MIAMI (WSVN) -- Major recommendations are being offered to improve Miami-Dade's election process after many voters endured long hours to cast ballots in the last presidential election.

An advisory group put together by Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez released its final report on Tuesday.

The group said, more early voting sites are needed, and the amount of days for early voting need to be extended. They also said, the language on ballot amendments needs to be limited to a summary of 75 words, technology must be improved for a smoother election process and absentee ballots must be allowed to be dropped off at voting precincts.
