UM demands NCAA drop case against athletic department
MIAMI (WSVN) -- The Miami Hurricanes are accusing the NCAA of behaving badly again.
"The Miami Herald" got a hold of an email the University of Miami sent to the organization. The email demanded the case against the school's athletic department be dismissed.
The university claims the lead investigator picked to replace the former director of enforcement broke the same rules the former director did by trying to use information from jailed booster Nevin Shapiro's attorney, to bolster the NCAA's case against UM.
The school also alleged the NCAA lied to people they wanted to interview by tricking them into revealing incriminating information.
They're filing a motion on Friday to dismiss the case.
