MIAMI (WSVN) -- More than 200 volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and a few Miami Heat players gathered to build 10 homes in two weeks.

The Williams family is awaiting the construction of their dream home. Today, amongst many helpers, three Miami Heat basketball players contributed with their height in the "Hearts and Hands Blitz Build." "We're trying to get the home ready for them to come in and start their new life and enjoy the houses," said Miami Heat player Mark Blunt.

Heat forward Alexander Johnson has not only helped build 10 Habitat homes, he also lived in one for nearly a decade. "It was a great feeling because I'd been staying in a two-bedroom apartment, and we finally got three bedrooms, me and my three brothers and my mom. You know, we had our own house. It felt pretty good, having your own house, having your own room."

Future homeowner Andre Williams claimed she could not be happier to give her two little boys a home of their own. "I thinks it's a blessing to be able to own my own home. I'm 24 years old, and I never expected to go into home ownership at this age," said Williams.
