Fans respond to possible new Dolphins logo

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A lot of Dol-fans are trying to figure out if the leak is the real deal or if it's just some type of internet hoax. We do know this, the Dolphins are hinting change with the current logo could be on the way.
The Miami Dolphins might have a new futuristic look. If it's the real deal, the logo will include the familiar orange sun as the outline, but the dolphin got a complete makeover.
Dolphins CEO Mike Dee replied to the rumors. "Lots of buzz regarding logos. Love the passion! We continue to explore a number of design alternatives. Final decision by Draft. Happy Holidays!"
If it's out with the old and in with the new, what do fans think? "I don't like it," said Chris Diaz. "It's too plain! You know, it's like we're going in blind to every game, you know? My dolphin doesn't have eyes."
"That's gotta be one of the worst logos I've seen in any sport," said Andrew Withers. "It's even worse than the Marlins logo in my opinion. It looks like you took the dolphin and just made it into a wave. So if you look from a distance it looks like an ocean wave, not really a dolphin."
But then there a fans who look at it in a positive way. The Dolphins are not going to the playoffs for the tenth time in 11 seasons. If a new logo can help, why not? "I love it man," said Omar Wright. "2013 is gonna be a great year. It's time for a change. I love the new Dolphins logo. Let's get it!"
There have been four changes to the Dolphins logo since the franchise started in 1966. The present logo has been in place since 1997.
