DOWNTOWN MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- Thousands of fans gathered at the American Airlines Arena to watch Miami Heat face Oklahoma City Thunder.

Early on, South Florida fans were on fire as the Heat took control in the first half. They held a seven point lead into half-time. "Oh man Lebron, Chris Bosh, they're doing their thing--that defense, can't stop it," said John Correa.

"We dominating them first half, so we're going to dominate again the second half," said Jakenaa Brown.

Even with the team in Oklahoma City, more 10,000 fans packed the AA Arena to watch Game 1 of the Finals on the jumbotron. "The best place to come is the arena, the best place," said Pablo Padron.

"Why the AAA? Because we're heat fans, and this is the Heat house, the Heat vibe!" said Dainer Caballero.

Another big watch party took place at the Muvico theatre in Hialeah. "The Heat got too much experience, to much fire power and they got Lebron James!" said Julio Angulo.

However, during the second half, the Heat lost its lead and the Thunder came out in front in the fourth quarter, taking the first win.

"Sucks we lost, but we'll be back next week," said another fan. "We're back Thursday, you know we got Thursday."
