Heat victory song becomes white hot

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A Miami Heat victory song written by a Heat fan is climbing up the charts.

The unofficial Miami Heat victory song is blowing up the airwaves, and Frank Cornelius was the creator of it. "I knew that this year was the year for this song," said Cornelius.

"Tell Mr. Stern to get the Rings Ready" was a song Cornelius actually composed, recorded and produced during last year's playoff season, when the Heat were struggling during the finals against the Mavericks.

Rather than get upset, singer, songwriter and super Heat fan Cornelius wrote a song. "I recorded a song, just a motivational song for friends, and we play this song, jump around, jump around the house, jump outside," said Cornelius.

Things did not turn out for the Heat last year, but Cornelius never lost faith. "I knew that next year was gonna be our year. We were gonna take the championship no question about it," he said.

Cornelius had a plan at the beginning of this year's playoffs, he bought airtime to advertise his song on a local radio station. He encouraged Heat fans to download the song off his website for free.

The song has blown up with the Heat's final win against the Thunder. "To the entire Heat organization, I wanna say great job and take Lebron on his word," said Cornelius.
