MIAMI (AP) -- Tropical Storm Hilary has formed in the eastern Pacific south of Mexico.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Ophelia is getting stronger as it moves across the Atlantic. The storm's maximum sustained winds have increased to near 60 mph (95 kph). But the hurricane center says some weakening is expected during the next two days.
Ophelia is centered about 1,245 miles (2,005 kilometers) east of the Leeward Islands and is moving west near 16 mph (26 kph).
