If you live in an evacuation zone, the last thing you need when you're ordered to get out is car trouble. So experts say keep your car tuned up and don't forget to double check your spare tire to make sure it has air.

Another good tip,  fill your car up with gas as the storm approaches before an evacuation is ordered.
 
And finally, traffic patterns can change, so make sure you have a GPS or a map.
