Turkish road accident kills 24

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) -- An official says a passenger bus has collided with a truck in southeast Turkey, killing 24 people.

Gov. Mustafa Toprak of Diyarbakir province said eight other passengers were injured in Wednesday's accident.

The crash occurred on a highway linking Diyarbakir with neighboring Batman province.

There was no immediate information on what caused the accident.
