OSLO, Norway (AP) -- Norwegian news reports say a platform housing oil rig workers in the North Sea is being evacuated after it began to tilt.
The Norwegian news agency NTB says that the "Floatel Superior," which houses 347 people, is being cleared by several helicopters after one of the floating pontoons started taking on water at 4 a.m. (0200 GMT), causing the structure to list.
The platform is located off the Norwegian coast near Kristiansund.
The operator of the field, the Norwegian oil company Statoil, could not immediately be reached for comment.
