Airplane crashes in French Polynesia with 20 aboard
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- An airplane carrying 19 passengers and a pilot crashed into the sea after taking off from the French Polynesian island of Moorea bound for Tahiti on Thursday, an official in Papeete said.
"No survivors have been recovered so far," a Civil Aviation Authority spokeswoman told The Associated Press. Some bodies have been found, she said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of office policy.
