PARIS (AP) -- A bank employee taken in for questioning this week in connection with Societe Generale's multibillion dollar trading scandal is free and has not been charged with any wrongdoing.
Judicial officials said the employee of the French bank was freed Thursday. The employee was detained when investigators searched the bank's offices Wednesday.
Investigators are trying to determine whether trader Jerome Kerviel had any accomplices when he made unauthorized trades that led to $7 billion in losses.
The bank says Kerviel acted alone.
