Liz Nagy joined the 7 News team in October, 2011.
She comes to Miami following two years at WEAR, the ABC affiliate in Pensacola, FL where she launched and anchored the weekend morning newscast, Three In The Morning.
During her time as a reporter at WEAR, Liz covered the Deepwater Horizon explosion from day one, and the BP Oil Spill that followed. She was the first reporter in the market to fly with the Coast Guard on search and rescue missions in the Gulf of Mexico. Liz also covered the deadly tornado on the ground in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in April, 2011.
Before moving to Florida, Liz worked as the weekend morning anchor and reporter at WVIR in Charlottesville, Virginia. Liz got her start in television at WEIU-TV in Charleston, Illinois. She has a bachelors degree in broadcast communications from Elon University.
A suburban Philadelphia native, Liz is thrilled to be in South Florida.
