MIAMI (WSVN) — Officials from the University of Miami are preparing themselves for a series of major meetings with the NCAA.

The meetings begin Thursday.

7News has confirmed UM will once again ask the investigation into the school's athletic program to be dismissed.

The probe involves allegations former booster Nevin Shapiro showered players and staff with cash and other benefits from 2001 to 2010.

Any sanctions against the school will not be known for at least 6 weeks.
