BADge Behavior?

Posted: Updated:

WSVN -- Veteran Fort Lauderdale Officer Bob Mocarski was taking a dinner break. His companion, Nicole Yocovelli is a woman who says he pressured her into a sexual relationship.

Nicole Yocovelli: "I mean we have sex on duty. I told you that. We go out for dinner, things like that. I mean I feel forced."

Carmel Cafiero: "You do feel forced?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "Yes."

Carmel Cafiero: "Why do you feel forced to have sex with this officer?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "If doesn't, I don't know the consequences of what would happen."

Yocovelli made those statements in an interview just hours before she met the officer for dinner.

Nicole Yocovelli: "I've had sex in his patrol car."

Carmel Cafiero: "How may times?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "Once."

Carmel Cafiero: "Just once?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "But we've had sex on the back of the patrol car. He likes it on the back of the patrol car."

Carmel Cafiero: "On the trunk?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "Yes."

She says she has a pending DUI case that officer Mocarski holds over her head.

Carmel Cafiero: "Why don't you just tell him to take a hike?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "He's an officer and he knows my history. He knows, you know what I mean. I just don't want any repercussions."

After a 45 minute dinner break the pair returned to their cars which were parked behind the restaurant.

Officer Mocarski appears to check in with the police department, but he doesn't leave. For another 45 minutes he and Yocovelli laugh and flirt behind the restaurant.

Carmel Cafiero: "This is one of three locations Yocovelli says she met the officer for sex while he was on duty. It's the driveway of an abandoned building just off the 595 overpass."

And after dinner that's exactly where they went. We followed Yocovelli to the abandoned building. Minutes later the officer pulled in and

for more than an hour they sat together in the dark. He was on duty, but did not take one call.

Nicole Yocovelli: "There was a few calls that came in and he got them re-routed to other officers."

She later told us on this night they did not have sex.

Carmel Cafiero: "Did you make out at all? Did you kiss? Was there any contact?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "Yes, oh yes. He was playing with my chest."

And when the two left that abandoned building they had spent nearly three hours in each others company.

Nicole Yocovelli: "I am crazy for you."

Earlier, Yocovelli showed us text messages she says the officer sent her they read 'I love you very much and I want you very bad.' Others are not suitable for broadcast. More than a hundred, she says, during the last seven weeks.

Nicole Yocovelli: "He is holding me up for sex."

She claims the officer ran tags of people who came to her home and has threatened to arrest them.

Nicole Yocovelli: "My friends are petrified."

She hopes by going public, she'll be protected.

Carmel Cafiero: "So in other words, you continue to have sex with him or else there are going to be big problems for you?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "Yes."

Carmel Cafiero: "So you are hoping this interview will help you?"

Nicole Yocovelli: "Yes."

It was all enough for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department to take immediate action.

Chief Frank Adderley: "Since it was brought to our attention, we initiated an internal investigation. That officer has been relieved of duty with pay and we will be conducting a very thorough investigation."

As for Yocovelli's fears of retribution the chief says she is protected.

Chief Frank Adderley: "And we're not gonna tolerate that here in the police department. So far there's no indication that we've had any incident that would lead us to believe that that's gonna occur."

Carmel Cafiero: "So she should feel reasonably safe?"

Chief Frank Adderley: "She should be safe yes."

Officer Mocarski meanwhile a 17 year veteran of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department turned down our request for an on camera interview.
