Leanette Fernandez: "I have a getting started guide. I post freebies, deals more than just the coupons as well because there are many different ways to save."

Leanette says if you're serious about saving, start by buying at least two Sunday newspapers a week. That's when the best coupons are offered.

Leanette Fernandez: "Buy a minimum of two because typically with a buy one get one free deal, you're going to be able to use two coupons."

Leanette says always look for upcoming sales and special offers at your grocery. Then collect coupons for those items. If you can, shop based on the coupons you have.

Today's trip added up to big savings for both shoppers. Jeanette's purchases totaled $58, but with her coupons she only paid $14.

Jeanette Travieso: "It was a savings of $45 so I did good."

Leanette saved big too.

Leanette Fernandez: "My total would have been $93.06 and I paid $16.28."

That's a $76 savings for one trip to the grocery. Imagine how much could save in a year.

Leanette Fernandez: "Once you find your groove and you start saving. It's going to motivate you to want to save more and to use coupons. So do it. You're providing for yourself and for you family so why not."
