Free for All

Posted: Updated:

Here in South Florida, there's no better deal than a free deal. 7's Lynn Martinez is here now to show us seven things we can get for free on tonight's Money Monday.

WSVN -- South Florida can be a pricey place to live, unless you know where to look and we do.

You can look like a million dollars without spending a million at Sephora. Express consultations there are free they're, like mini make-overs and who doesn't want that?

Iraiva Monsalve, Sephora: "We offer anything from color consultation to a skin care consultation, depending on what the client's needs are, and it's absolutely free."

If you sign up for the beauty insider rewards program you'll get a free gift for your birthday every year.

Iraiva Monsalve: "Everybody loves it!"

Another thing everyone loves a free virus check. Just bring your computer to the tech center at Comp USA/Tiger Direct.

Gilbert Fiorentino Comp USA/Tiger Direct: "Even if you didn't buy the pc here and you want something installed in it, say additional memory, a new video card, something like that, we do installations for free."

After you get your computer checked, head on over to Home Depot for free do-it-yourself classes. Kids learn how to make all kinds of things at the kid's club the first Saturday of each month.

While they're busy, mom and dad can learn how to do their own home improvement projects, like laying tile.

If art is your thing, the Miami Art Museum is also free the second Saturday of every month.

Kerry Keeler, Miami Art Museum: "All afternoon you can visit the museum for free and take part in an art activity and explore the visitors gallery."

If all that culture makes you hungry, grab a bite at Chicken Kitchen, families save big on Sundays. When adults order kids under 12 eat free.

If you're a new parent, be sure and check out Publix baby club sign up to get free coupons and more.

Kim Jaeger, Publix: "With the baby club we'll go ahead and send you a parenting book which is $20 value, which helps guide you through that whole process of being a new mom or dad."

And when those little ones grow up and move away, don't spend money on long-distance calls. Make free internet calls on your computer with Skype.

Just sign up for Skype online and you'll be face to face with your loved ones without the cost.

If you don't have a camera on your computer, no worries you can still make free voice calls on Skype.

If you have any other money questions or story ideas you'd like us to look into on Money Monday, you can tell us about it by emailing us at moneymonday@wsvn.com
