WSVN -- It's show time at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Downtown Miami.
John Richard, CEO, Adrienne Arsht Center: "We really have a fantastic season planned. It's a diversity of dance, music, theater."
But this season the shows aren't the only acts worth seeing.
Barton G. Weiss, Owner, Prelude by Barton G.: "The lights have been turned on Downtown. It's come early, stay late."
Dinner, drinks and a show used to mean going somewhere else before arriving at the Arsht campus. Well, not anymore, now, it's one-stop entertainment!
Lilliana Real: "You park and then you're here. You don't have to go anywhere else. You have your dinner, your show and then you can go have a drink afterwards."
The new Bombay Sapphire Lounge just opened this week inside the center. It's a great lounge for cocktails and a quick bite before or after a show.
Gladys Matos: "Before we got here, we drove around because we didn't know about this and gave up and said we'll get something to eat after the show and we came in and we were very happy to see this!"
There's an inside bar to relax and mingle with others who have cultural interests. Plus, lots of great seating outside to sip special cocktails under the stars.
John Richard: "Our partner is Bacardi and the theme is Bombay Sapphire Lounge. Anything from the cosmopolitan scene, to a great glass of wine."
The tapas menu is sensational, from a paella roll with soft shell crab and scented rice, lamb lollipops, crispy moo shoo duck and quick bites like a trio of truffle, tomato and white cheddar popcorn.
Austin Cohen: "This is a great place to start your night. The food is great."
If you have time for a fine dining experience make reservations at Prelude by Barton G.
Barton G. Weiss, Prelude: "It's a real cool New York supper club. It's lush, it's plush and it's beautiful."
Barton promises some exciting show-stoppers of his own this season.
Barton G. Weiss: "There are great new dishes that have gone on the menu. My favorite is the dessert "berry-licious." The striped sea bass is amazing. It just has unbelievable flavors. Pulled pork, which was one of the favorites has become the staple."
Lilliana Real: "The desserts are awesome, it's Barton G, so the desserts are really special. Everything on the menu is delicious."
All this new growth at the Arsht Center has the cultural community excited.
Austin Cohen, Green Room Society: "We're growing as a community. Over the last couple of years, people kept saying we don't have culture. Now, we have great culture and we have great food."
It's the ticket to a perfect night at the theater.
Bombay Sapphire Lounge and Prelude are both open during the week and weekends, even when performances are not going on.
