Father's Day

Posted: Updated:

WSVN -- Hanging out with the guys, well, it's just something men need, and even dads crave a little male bonding every now and then.

So for the ultimate guy's guy, the Marriott's Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale is offering a "mancation."

Jay Marsella: "The 'mancation' is geared to two or three men who want to come to Fort Lauderdale and experience really a lot of the sporting activities, mostly geared toward fishing."

The guys will get oceanfront accommodations and are greeted with buckets of their favorite beer. They can choose from all sorts of water sports at the resort, but the biggest lure is a fishing trip with Happy Day Today charters.

Jay Marsella: "What we do is send them out to a phenomenal fishing charter service, they go out into the Atlantic Ocean. Hopefully they catch all kinds of fish."

Michael Cook: "You get out on the water, enjoy some free time with the guys, pull out the cigars and a couple of cold beers. That's just the way to live sometimes."

While the guys kick back for some male bonding, their fishing guide does most of the work, but then the guys get to experience reeling in the big ones.

Joe LaFleur: "We caught a few fish, but we got a few that got away."

Michael Cook: "Great day on the water today and got a couple of fish."

In addition to bragging rights and fish tales, the package also includes a trip to the IGFA fishing hall of fame.

Happy days for dad and his best buds.
